Thanks to this, more than 500 students of Gomel University had a unique opportunity to study in detail the archival documents and photographs presented at the exhibition, reflecting the events of those distant days in the history of our region, which left a deep imprint in the minds of millions of people.

The exhibition project «The Unconquered Gomel Region» is a significant contribution to the great work carried out by archival institutions to preserve the historical memory of the events and participants of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) and takes on special significance on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazis invaders.

For ease of perception, the exhibition is divided into blocks, where each archival document in the exhibition contains a brief annotation.
