On conducting a tour in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region», dedicated to the international week of archives

Within the framework of the Republican campaign «Archives-School» and during the events dedicated to the International Archives Day, June 11, 2024, the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» was visited by students of grade 8 of the secondary school No.40 of Mogilev, who are in the summer recreation School camp.

During the tour, the leading archivist Zvezgina Svetlana introduced students to the history of the creation of the archive, the main directions of his activities, about the archive funds and the specifics of working with them, on the conditions of storage of documents, and the equipment of archives. The children focused on the fact that the main task of the archivists is to maintain a documentary heritage, to give people the opportunity to get acquainted with archival documents. The guys also got acquainted with the exhibitions presented: the defense of the city of Mogilev, the partisan movement, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Mogilev, the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.

At the end of the tour, the guests got acquainted with the museum exposition on the history of the party archive.
