On the participation of the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation in the V All-Russian Scientific Conference «The Great Patriotic War in the history and memory of the peoples of the South of Russia: events, participants, symbols»
On May 30–31, 2024, Category I archivist of the Department of Information and Use of Documents of the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation Ekaterina Vasilyevna Shkut took part in the V All-Russian Scientific Conference with international participation «The Great Patriotic War in the history and memory of the peoples of the South of Russia: events, participants , symbols», which took place in the city of Rostov-on-Don (Russia).
Ekaterina Vasilievna’s article «Memoirs of Leonid Aleksandrovich Borisoglebsky about participation in the Novogrudok underground organization», prepared in co-authorship with Lyudmila Ivanovna Moseychuk, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor of the Department of History at BNTU, was published in the conference collection.
The event was organized by the Federal Research Center Southern Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Southern Federal University with the support of the Russian Historical Society, the Caucasus – New Horizons Humanitarian Foundation, the Strana Regional Research Foundation, the Rostov Regional Search Public Organization «Mius-Front» and the Autonomous non-profit organization «Center for Media Strategies».
More than 100 scientists, teachers, museum and archival staff, social activists, as well as students from Russia, Serbia, Abkhazia, Belarus, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan presented the results of their research. The scientific meeting was held in the framework of a plenary session, five sectional sessions and three round tables. The event ended with the presentation of new publications dedicated to the Great Patriotic War.
