On conducting a lesson and 3 excursions by specialists of the zonal state archive in Kobrin for students of the Druzhba health camp of secondary school No. 8 in Kobrin

On March 7, 2024, as part of the International Week of Archives and the «Archives to School» campaign, three units of the «Friendship» health camp of secondary school No. 8 in Kobrin visited the zonal state archive in Kobrin.

For the first group, a lesson was held on the topic «Treasury of Documents» about the functions and tasks of the archive, during which the children answered questions in a quiz called «Journey to the World of Documents.»

Archivists conducted sightseeing tours of the archive for three teams. The children learned about the history of the creation of the archive, the main directions of its activities, the composition of the stored funds, the specifics of working with archival documents and became familiar with the conditions of their storage. We visited the archives.

The students were also shown poster exhibitions on display in the archives.
