On holding an Open Day in the zonal state archive in Kobrin as part of the International Week of Archives
On June 6, 2024, on Open Day as part of the International Archive Week, the zonal state archive in Kobrin was visited by students of the labor camp of secondary school No. 9 in Kobrin.
Archivists held a film lecture for schoolchildren as part of the “Open Film Archive” project. We brought this day closer as best we could.” The children were shown a documentary film “On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Brest from the Nazi invaders,” prepared by specialists from the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Audio Documents (BGAKFFD).
Archive staff also gave students a tour of the archive. The children got acquainted with the stand exhibition “Documents will tell how it all began,” which is exhibited in the foyer of the archive building and tells the story of the creation and activities of the institution.
