The State Archive of the Gomel Region presented the documentary exhibition «State Archives – Keepers of Historical Memory»

On June 5, 2024, on the eve of the International Day of Archives, the exhibition «State Archives – Keepers of Historical Memory», prepared by archive employees on the basis of archival documents, was launched on the basis of the institution «State Archive of the Gomel Region» (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive).

The first visitors to the exhibition were GAG ​​employees. The exhibition presents more than 35 archival documents reflecting the history and main directions of work of the regional archive. The exhibition features photographs of buildings, employees, and significant events in the history of the archive.

The event was opened by GAGom director Andrey Suschevich. In his speech, he congratulated the staff of the regional archive on the upcoming holiday – International Archives Day, wishing them good health, prosperity, good luck in all their work endeavors, as well as a peaceful sky above their heads.

Continuing the meeting, the director of the archive introduced the exhibition to all those present.

In addition, the director of the regional archive informed the team about the video conference that took place with the State Treasury Institution «State Archive of the Bryansk Region». During the videoconference, the heads of institutions congratulated each other on the holiday, discussed current problems and prospects for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
