About the holding of a film lecture by employees of the State Archive of the Gomel Region within the walls of the library-branch No. 3 named after. E.R.Romanova, Gomel

May 8, 2024 as part of «the Open Film Archive project. We brought this day closer as best we could». The institution «State Archives of the Gomel Region» (hereinafter referred to as the State Archive) organized a screening of the documentary film «Liberation» for students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.2 of Gomel named after. G.M.Sklezneva» within the walls of the library-branch No.3 named after.E.R.Romanovа, Gomel.

Before watching the film, Alina Drozdova, a senior researcher at the Department of Information, Publication and Use of Documents at the State Archive, told schoolchildren about the project prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents, as well as about the liberation of the Gomel region from the Nazi invaders. As part of the film lecture, an exhibition of archival documents dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders was also shown.
