Employees of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus took part in a nationwide cleanup day

On April 20, 2024, employees of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) took part in a nationwide cleanup day. The tradition of holding such events goes back to the first years of Soviet power – the first subbotnik took place in April 1919. The Republic of Belarus has preserved the tradition of holding nationwide cleanup days, in which labor collectives of institutions and enterprises take part.

Archive workers worked at five sites. On April 19, four people cleaned up the grave of the Great Patriotic War participant, former director of the Central State Academy of Orthopedic Religion, A.M. Karpachev. and laid flowers. On the same day, cleaning of the premises at Kozlova, 26 took place.

On April 20 at 9.00 a cleanup began at three sites. In the buildings of NARB on Nezavisimosti Ave. and on the street. Makaenka, 12 k.1. Archive workers clean rooms and work places. All participants in the nationwide cleanup are provided with the necessary equipment, household supplies and personal protective equipment. Before the start of work, meetings and necessary briefings were held on site. Patriotic-themed musical accompaniment is provided at work sites.
