The State Archive of the Minsk Region took part in an awareness-raising project on Constitution Day
On March 15, 2024, in honor of the 30th anniversary of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the city information and educational project «Open Knowledge» was launched in the «Stolitsa» shopping center.
Authoritative experts spoke for the guests. The speakers were Vadim Gigin, deputy of the House of Representatives of the 8th convocation, general director of the National Library and chairman of the board of the Russian State Public Organization «Belarusian Society «Knowledge» Vadim Gigin; Deputy of the House of Representatives of the 8th convocation, Chairman of the Belarusian Party «White Rus’» and the public association of the same name Oleg Romanov; Deputy Director of the Scientific and Practical Center for Problems of Strengthening Law and Order of the General Prosecutor’s Office, member of the Constitutional Commission Artem Pukhov; BelTA General Director Irina Akulovich; General Director of the Minsk-News agency, Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Union of Journalists, Deputy of the Minsk City Council Andrei Krivosheev and Director of the Institute of Sociology of the National Academy of Sciences, Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor Nikolai Myslivets.
Pupils and students, as well as residents of the capital, came to ask questions to the experts. In a solemn atmosphere, schoolchildren who had reached the age of 14 were presented with passports and memorable souvenirs.
As part of the event, the State Archive of the Minsk Region presented an exhibition of documents reflecting some stages in the history of the country’s Basic Law.
