About conducting an excursion for students of the Institute of Modern Knowledge named after A.M. Shirokova

On February 12, 2024, an excursion for students of the private educational institution «Institute of Modern Knowledge named after A.M. Shirokov» took place in the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus.

The director of the archive, A.K. Demyanuk, addressed the guests with a welcoming speech. Researcher of the publications department T.N. Ageenko spoke about the history of the archive, the composition and features of document storage, exhibition and publication activities of archivists. During the excursion, students visited the reading room of the archive, got acquainted with the scientific reference apparatus, as well as documents from the period of the Great Patriotic War (personal sheets for registering partisan personnel, award sheets, histories of partisan formations, cards stolen to Germany), population census materials, etc.
