About holding an educational event for students of the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies

As part of the signed cooperation agreement between NIA Belarus and the educational institution «Minsk State College of Digital Technologies», an educational event was held for college students on January 25, 2024. The head of the department of research and publication activities, Sergei Ryndin, gave a lesson to college students on the topic «History of the First World War in the documents of the National Historical Archive of Belarus». The lecture is timed to coincide with the 110th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War, which will be celebrated this year.

With the help of a presentation, the students were shown documents covering the progress of mobilization activities in the Belarusian provinces, the organization of assistance to the front by local authorities, the implementation of measures to combat espionage, the evacuation of human and material resources, enemy air raids, the consequences of the war for the civilian population of Belarus, the fate of German prisoners of war and the Austro-Hungarian armies.

NIA Belarus expresses gratitude to the students and teaching staff of the Minsk State College of Digital Technologies (and personally to the director Georgy Vladimirovich Kozel) for the hospitable welcome and the great interest shown in the documents of the National Historical Archive of Belarus.
