On the participation of NARB employees in the round table «Source study and historiography. Special historical disciplines»

On June 29, 2023, employees of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) took part in the international scientific round table «Source study and historiography. Special Historical Disciplines», organized by the Department of Source Studies of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University.

The round table brought together leading experts and researchers in source studies, historiography and special historical disciplines from among archivists, representatives of the university and academic communities from Belarus and Russia.

Director of NARB A.K.Demyanuk in his welcoming speech noted the important role of the Department of Source Studies in training personnel for archival institutions and expressed confidence in further fruitful work to popularize archival sources. Andrey Konstantinovich congratulated S.N.Khodin on his jubilee, thanked him for his cooperation in numerous projects and presented him with a badge «For Merit», as well as documentary editions of the archive.

During the work of the section «Historical source in modern scientific reading and publication», researcher of the NARB Publications Department T.N.Ageenko made a report «From the experience of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in the preparation of electronic publications».
