Participation of employees of the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents in the work of the International Round Table «Source Studies and Historiography. Special historical disciplines»

June 29, 2023 at the Department of Source Studies, Faculty of History, Belarusian State University a meeting of the International round table «Source study and historiography. Special historical disciplines».

The declared problem field of the International Round Table was very multifaceted, which made it possible to gather on one dialogue platform both university teachers and students, and representatives of the archival sphere. During the discussion and reports, the participants of the round table sought to emphasize the special significance of source studies, historiography and special historical disciplines among the humanities.

The work of the International Round Table was attended by the employees of the Belarusian State Archive of Film and Photo Documents E.V.Korotkov, Head of the Archives of the Department for the Formation of the National Archival Fund, and E.I.Tretyak, Leading Archivist of the Department for the Use of Documents and Information.

During the work of the section, E.I.Tretyak made a report «Film documents from the funds of the BGAKFFD during the Great Patriotic War as a historical source», accompanied by a presentation of screenshots from film documents from the period of the Great Patriotic War.

Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus V.L. Lakiza awards the Head of the Department of Source Studies of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University S.N. Khodin with a Certificate of Honor during the work of the International Round Table.
