«The city of Borisov is my hero city»

As part of the implementation of the sectoral virtual exhibition project «Cities of Belarus», the institution «Zonal State Archive in Borisov» presents a virtual exhibition «The City of Borisov – My Hero City» (PDF, 9,6Mb).

Few of the cities in Belarus have such a long and wonderful history dating back to the mists of time as Borisov.

Looking at the pages of hoary antiquity, one can notice that the long-suffering fate of the Belarusian people was reflected in the history of Borisov, as in a mirror, and each era left its noticeable mark on the life of the city.

We have great respect for our historical past, the heroic deeds of previous generations, the exploits of our ancestors.

For us, Borisovshchina is, first of all, a small Motherland, which you love for the bright feeling of your home.

It is with great pleasure that we dedicate this work to Borisov.
