Memories of fiery years

On June 20, 2023, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, the Year of Peace and Creation and on the eve of the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people, the children of the recreation camp «Junga» of secondary school No. 1 of Kobrin visited the Zonal State Archive in Kobrin.

During the lesson, the staff of the archive spoke about the genocide of the civilian population on the territory of the Kobrin district of the Brest region. The students were shown the exhibition «Without a statute of limitations», presented by documents on the activities of the regional commissions for assistance in the work of the Extraordinary State Commission for the establishment and investigation of atrocities and accounting for the damage caused by the Nazi invaders and their accomplices in the territory of Berezovsky, Kobrinsky, Pruzhany, former Divinsky, Ruzhansky and Shereshevsky districts. These documents aroused great interest among schoolchildren.
