On April 6, 2023, a meeting of the bureau of the board of the public association «Belarusian Peace Fund» was held on the basis of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus
Director of the National Archives Andrei Konstantinovich Demyanuk delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the meeting.
Inessa Vladimirovna Dorogush, head of the department of funds of personal origin, conducted a tour of the archive, spoke about its history, composition and features of storing documents, and the work of the archive in the field of publication and exhibition activities. During the excursion, the participants of the meeting got acquainted with the photo-documentary exhibitions of the National Archives dedicated to the Year of Peace and Creation: «We, Belarusians are peaceful people…», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Yegorov Marat Fedorovich, a public figure, chairman of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, president of the International Humanitarian the non-governmental organization «Chernobyl-Help», Honored Worker of Culture of the BSSR, participant in the Great Patriotic War, as well as the banner exhibition «Khatyn – a shrine of national memory», timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the tragedy of the Belarusian village of Khatyn, burned along with its inhabitants by fascist invaders on March 22, 1943.
The guests visited the archives of funds of personal origin, where they got acquainted with documents from the personal archives of state, party and public figures, participants in the Great Patriotic War.
At the end of the meeting, Maxim Vladimirovich Misko, chairman of the board of the Belarusian Peace Foundation, deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, expressed his gratitude to the National Archives for the opportunity to hold a meeting of the bureau of the board on the basis of the archive and organize an excursion. Director of the archive A.K. Demyanuk presented M.V. Misko with the album «Keepers of Documentary Memory».
