On the working visit of the Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management O.L. Voinov to the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archiving
On March 17, 2023, the director of the Department for Archives and Records Management O.L. Voinov paid a working visit to the National Historical Archives of Belarus and the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archiving.
During the visit, O.L. Voinov heard a report from the Deputy Director of the Archive I.I. Kovganova on the work of the institution in January-March 2023.
Director of the Belarusian Research Institute of Documentation and Archives A.E. Rybakov reported on the activities of the institute, as well as on the existing problematic issues and ways to solve them. A.E. Rybakov acquainted the Director of the Department O.L. Voinov with the working conditions of the editorial and publishing department and the department of archeography on additionally allocated areas, the issues of the institute’s location and the prospects for its further development were discussed.
At a meeting with the workforce of institutions, O.L. Voinov positively assessed the work of archivists, and also noted that the institutions face great challenges in further popularizing documents and scientific support for the activities of the archival industry.
As a result of the visit, protocols of instructions with specific tasks for the coming period will be prepared.
At the same time, in the presence of labor collectives, the Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Peace Fund Misko M.V. and the director of the educational institution «Minsk State College of Digital Technologies» Kozel G.V. awarded the staff of the National Historical Archives of Belarus with the Certificate of Honor of the Belarusian Peace Fund. Presenting the award to Misko M.V. stressed the importance of the work of the archive to preserve the documentary heritage of Belarus. Kozel G.V. thanked Voinov O.L. for the opportunity given to children with disabilities, college students, to get acquainted with the documents of the National Archives of Belarus.
