On the opening of a documentary exhibition in the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus
On March 15, 2023, a documentary exhibition prepared by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and timed to coincide with the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus opened at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
The Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus is a public holiday that has its own history. The Constitution of the Republic of Belarus is the Basic Law of the country, which has the highest legal force. This year, the celebration of the Constitution Day takes on a special character – exactly one year the country has been living according to the updated Basic Law, for which the majority of our citizens voted in a referendum on February 27, 2022, thereby confirming the solidarity and unity of the Belarusian people, laying the foundations for the future progressive development and prosperity of our country. states.
The exhibition project presents unique documents from the archives of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Belarus, the Supreme Council of the BSSR. These are the Draft Resolution of the IX All-Belarusian Congress of Soviets on changes to the articles of the Constitution of the BSSR for 1929, the memorandum of the Secretary of the Chashnik RK CP(b)B to the Central Committee of the CP(b)B on the progress of studying the report of I.V. Stalin on the Constitution of the Union SSR by the workers of the region dated December 25, 1936. The memorandum of the Chairman of the Council of People’s Commissars and the Constitutional Commission of the BSSR N. Goloded to the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks and the Council of People’s Commissars of the USSR on the draft Constitution of the Byelorussian SSR dated January 10, 1937 aroused great interest among visitors to the exhibition. , as well as the Declaration of the Supreme Council of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic on the adoption and announcement of the Constitution (Basic Law) of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic of April 14, 1978, newspaper clippings on the discussion of the Constitution of the USSR among workers, collective farmers and working people. Also, the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus presented heraldic insignia and distinctions.
