Exhibition «Man of a fiery heart» for the 120th anniversary of Lyubov Mozolevskaya
On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of the director, teacher, actress, Honored Art Worker of Belarus Lyubov Ivanovna Mozolevskaya (1903-1964), in the Year of Peace and Creation, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art prepared a documentary exhibition «A Man of a Fiery Heart».
The work of L.I.Mozolevskaya is a bright page in the formation of the Belarusian theater and the history of the development of national stage art. The name of the exhibition «A Man of a Fiery Heart» echoes the idea of the creators of the television film dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Lyubov Ivanovna, when she was no longer among her grateful friends, students and colleagues. Written by one of her students, art critic S.Petrovich, the script of the film becomes the basis for a retrospective of the life and many achievements of L.Mozolevskaya, a versatile actress of the Belarusian theater and cinema, an outstanding director, creator of the Theater for Young Spectators, and a talented teacher. The sincerity and spontaneity of the exhibition is given by family and creative photographs with the famous actor Pavel Molchanov, as well as the correspondence that the girlfriends of youth Lyubov Mozolevskaya and actress Tatyana Bondarchik kept all their lives.
Documents from the funds of the archive-museum, presented at the exhibition, reflect not only the main periods of the life and work of L.Mozolevskaya, but, more importantly, the recognition of her talent and skill both among colleagues, students and friends, and grateful viewers.
The work of Lyubov Ivanovna in the theater brought both the joy of creation and numerous creative and personal experiences. Photos, letters and memoirs of artists, working protocols and scripts with director’s notes, programs with inspirational and playful inscriptions of performance participants, laudatory newspaper articles and critical reviews, diplomas and congratulations – all these documents presented at the exhibition shed light on the difficult path to success and recognition of the creative personality of Lyubov Ivanovna Mozolevskaya.
