Within the framework of the International Archives Day, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus invites to take part in the master class “Filing of Files”

Within the framework of the events timed to the International Archives Day/Week, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus invites you to take part in the master class “Filing of Files”.

Date and time: 8 June 2022 from 15.00 to 16.00.

Location: National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, 116, Independence Ave.

Organizers: Olga Skomoroshchenko, Head of the Scientific and Technical Processing of Documents Department, and Anzhelika Kuzminskaya, Leading Archivist of the Scientific and Technical Processing of Documents Department.

At the master class you will learn and see how to correctly file a case. You will put the acquired knowledge into practice under the guidance of an archivist.

Program of the master class

1. Theoretical background and organization of the process.
2. Necessary materials.
3. Demonstration of case filing.
4. Case filing by the participants of the master class.

On 9 June 2022, the National Archives holds an Open Doors Day. Everyone interested can visit the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus and get acquainted with its activities: receive consultations on issues of archives and records management, archival finding aids, rules of work with documents in the reading room, records preservation. The original documents on the history of Belarus and some collections of archival documents prepared and published with direct participation of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus will be available for view in the Archives.
The guests of the Archives can visit the exhibition dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, make a tour of the archive repository and the reading room.
