“Literary Belarus … in the documents of the State Archives of Minsk Region”
The State Archives of Minsk Region has prepared a selection of documentary materials available from the archive holdings for World Writer’s Day – March 3.
In the Year of Historical Memory, one of the most important tasks is to preserve the memory of outstanding Belarusians for the sake of a bright future of our people.
Every nation has poets and writers who, due to their literary talent, determine not only the ways of development of their native language, literature, culture, but also form the national consciousness, embody the national idea, giving purpose and meaning to more than one generation, becoming symbols of their people. For Belarusians, such symbols are Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Vasil Bykov, Ivan Shamyakin and many others.
