A national seminar on the improvement of records management and control was held on 16 December 2021

On December 16, 2021, a national seminar for the heads of documentation management services on improving the organization of records management and control was held by the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus jointly with the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus and the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus.

The event was held for representatives of central bodies of state administration and other government institutions subordinate to the Government of the Republic of Belarus. Representatives of regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee joined the event via videoconference.

A. E. Tsvetkov, Deputy Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, made an introductory speech, stressing the particular importance of the issues addressed. A. E. Tsvetkov noted that seminars on these issues would be held in the future on a systematic basis.

E. V. Zenchenko, Deputy Head of the Main Department for Regime-Secret Activities, Information Protection and Execution Control – Head of the Execution Control Department of the Administration of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, spoke about how to improve control and compliance in executing the assignments given by the Government of the Republic of Belarus.

N. V. Shastilovskaya, Head of the Records Management Department of the Administration of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus, spoke about the quality of the documents sent to the Government of the Republic of Belarus: compliance with the requirements for their formatting and structure.

A. E. Rybakov, Director of the Belarusian Research Institute of Records Management and Archival Studies and S. V. Sobalevsky, First Deputy Head of Records Management and Protocol Work Administration of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus focused on the issues of document unification as an important element in building a platform for digital transformation.

O. V. Zayanchkovskaya, Head of Records Management and Formation of National Archival Fonds at the Department for Archives and Records Management told about the changes and amendments to the Law of the Republic of Belarus of November 25, 2011 № 323-З “On archives and records management in the Republic of Belarus”.

T. A. Shevchenko, Head of Records Management and Formation of National Archival Fonds at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, touched upon the preparation of electronic records for archival storage in certain government bodies and organizations.
