Young Polotsk residents learned about the exploits of partisans during the Great Patriotic War
On July 17, patriotic education lessons were held at the summer health camp «Neugomon» of the Secondary School No.10 named after V.M. Azin in Polotsk, dedicated to the heroic struggle of partisans during the Great Patriotic War. The head of the department for the use and publication of documents of the Zonal State Archive in Polotsk, Dichkevich M.M., held educational classes called «Partisan Everyday Life».
The lessons were aimed at developing a sense of patriotism in children, respect for the history of their country and the memory of the exploits of their ancestors. The children learned about the difficult trials that befell the Belarusian people during the years of occupation, and about the courage and dedication of the partisans who fought for the liberation of the Motherland.
Marina Mikhailovna introduced the campers to the names of partisan heroes, told them about their exploits, about how ordinary people, risking their lives, resisted the enemy. Documentary evidence was presented: partisan drawings, leaflets, photographs and stories about the activities of partisan detachments.
Patriotic education lessons aroused great interest among the children. They actively participated in the discussion, asked questions and shared their knowledge. Such events play an important role in the formation of a civic position and patriotic consciousness of the younger generation.
