On June 17 and 18, 2025, as part of the republican campaign «Archives for School», the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region was visited by students of Secondary School No.28 of Vitebsk, who were in a summer educational and health school camp with day stay

During the excursion, the children were introduced to the archive. Why is it necessary to preserve documents, how long ago archives appeared, what tasks archivists face today – these and other questions were the subject of a conversation, during which schoolchildren expressed their assumptions and received qualified answers from an archive employee. Also, a screening of the documentary film «History of the Great Victory», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, and a visit to one of the archival storage facilities were organized for the children.
