The State Archives of Gomel Region hosted a meeting dedicated to Archivist Day

On 6 October, archivists in Belarus celebrate their professional holiday.

The State Archives of Gomel Region held a solemn meeting dedicated to Archivist Day. A festive program was prepared, in which the key moment was the awarding of 18 archive employees with diplomas and letters of commendation. The diligent work of archivists and exemplary performance of their professional duties were highly appreciated by the district administrations of Gomel, the Vetka District Executive Committee, and the regional committee of trade unions. The archivists were also presented with diplomas and letters of commendation from the State Archives of Gomel Region.

For fruitful work and great personal contribution to the development of archives, the Director of the Archives A. N. Sushchevich was awarded the Letter of Acknowledgement from the Main Justice Department of the Gomel Region Executive Committee. The acting head of the Main Justice Department of the Gomel Region Executive Committee A. A. Gurzhy attended the ceremony and congratulated the archive staff on their professional holiday.
