I cordially congratulate all workers and veterans of the archival industry of Belarus on their professional holiday – Archivist Day!

The painstaking work and creative energy of Belarusian archivists for many years have been aimed at achieving a common goal of preserving the national history, documentary heritage of the Belarusian people, their scientific, cultural and economic achievements.

Thanks to the enthusiasm and high professionalism of archivists, it has been possible to create and preserve for the future generations the National Archival Fonds of the Republic of Belarus – hundreds of thousands of unique documents about the past of Belarus, about the people who left a bright mark in the life of our state at different stages of its development.

The productive activity of archives is directly related to the successful functioning of government structures, development of intellectual potential of the society, maintenance of national security, protection of sovereignty and independence!

Today Belarusian archivists are engaged in extensive scientific, educational and information activities, implement a range of tasks to systematize and enrich archival fonds, introduce the latest digital technologies in their major activities.

I cordially thank the archivists of all generations for their professionalism and contribution to the common cause of preserving the collective documentary memory of the Belarusian nation!
