A national information and educational campaign “Belarus Against Tobacco” is held in the Republic of Belarus from May 17 to June 6, 2021.

The campaign “Belarus against Tobacco” is held as the implementation of the Framework Convention of the World Health Organization on Tobacco Control in the Republic of Belarus, the state program “Health of the Nation and Demographic Security” for 2021-2025, approved by Decree № 759 of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus dated December 24, 2020, and is timed to the celebration of World No Tobacco Day on May 31, 2021.

The purpose of this campaign is to raise public awareness about the negative impact of tobacco and non-tobacco nicotine-containing products on the human body, ways to quit smoking (consumption of nicotine-containing products) and treatment of nicotine addiction.
