Joint Formal Meeting of the Department for Archives and Records Management, the Appellate Economic Court, and the Editorial Office of the Journal «Justice of Belarus»
On November 6, 2026, in anticipation of the October Revolution Day holiday, a joint formal meeting was held for the staff of the Department for Archives and Records Management, the Appellate Economic Court, and the Editorial Office of the journal «Justice of Belarus».
Oleg Leonidovich Voinov, Director of the Department for Archives and Records Management, delivered opening remarks to those in attendance:
«Today, we view this holiday not merely as a tribute to the past, but as an important occasion to reflect upon the present and the future.
Belarus has succeeded in preserving the very best of what was created by previous generations. Our shared task today is not only to safeguard this legacy but to build upon it. In your respective roles, each of you makes an invaluable contribution to the stability and development of the entire nation».
Yury Viktorovich Kobets, Chairman of the Appellate Economic Court, noted in his address:
«This national holiday serves as a symbol of our historical memory, our courage, our pursuit of justice, and our right to determine our own path. Drawing upon the experience and traditions of those who came before us, it is our duty to carefully preserve and honor our historical memory».
Participants were shown a video segment titled «A Red-Letter Day on the Calendar», produced as part of the «Open Film Archive» joint project by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photograph, and Sound Documents and the Television News Agency.
Following this, V.P.Garmatny, a lead archivist at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, presented an exhibition of historical records titled «A Stroke of History: The October Revolution in Archival Documents».
The speakers expressed sincere wishes for good health, peaceful skies, well-being, confidence in the future, and further professional success for the benefit of our native Belarus.
