Tours held at the State Archives of the Mogilev Region as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign

As part of the national «Archives for Schools» campaign and the «Young Archivist» pilot project, students from Mogilev Secondary School No.33 and the Mogilev State College of Arts visited the State Archives of the Mogilev Region.

A guided tour of the archival storage facility and the document digitization section was held for school camp students and future musicians.

The students viewed banner and display exhibitions of archival documents, learned how to begin their genealogical research, and learned about the opportunities the archive offers for independent study in the reading room.

The exhibitions of archival documents, as well as the documentary film, sparked keen interest among the students, allowing them to become «eyewitnesses» to important historical events in the history of the Mogilev Region and the Republic of Belarus. An exhibition of archival documents from the personal collections of cultural figures from the Mogilev Region was presented to students of the Mogilev State College of Arts.

Guests were able to ask questions of the archive staff and learn more about the history of their native region.
