On the Meeting with Distinguished Archival Workers at the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus
On May 7, 2026, on the eve of Victory Day, the Department of Archives and Records Management hosted a meeting with archival workers who, before retiring, dedicated many years to archival service, working for the Department and state archival institutions in Minsk.
Employees and veterans of the National Historical Archives in Grodno participated in the event via videoconference.
More than 40 people participated in the event.
The distinguished guests were presented with a documentary exhibition, «Daughters of the Fatherland: A Feat in the Name of Life», prepared by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, and a book exhibition featuring publishing projects by state archival institutions for 2023–2025.
Full of optimism and still maintaining a proactive outlook on life, the event’s distinguished guests enjoyed interacting with the current leadership and staff of the Department and the directors of the republic’s archival institutions.
Department Director Oleg Leonidovich Voinov addressed the participants with a welcoming address.
Speaking to those gathered, O.L.Voinov said that the meeting was not only an opportunity to congratulate those who have dedicated their lives to the important work of preserving our documentary heritage, but also an opportunity to share experiences, discuss achievements, and discuss the prospects for the development of the archival industry. O.L.Voinov expressed deep gratitude for the many years of conscientious work, dedication to the profession, and invaluable contribution of these distinguished archival workers to preserving the historical memory of our country.
Following the event, a warm tea party was held, organized by the Department’s Primary Trade Union Organization. Participants were presented with sweet souvenirs, commemorative photographs, and CDs containing documentaries prepared by the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Archive.
In conclusion, O.L.Voinov wished those gathered good health, good spirits, long life, and prosperity!
