The Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (BSAMLI) visited the exhibition «Master. Hero. Mikhail Savitsky»

On January 28, 2026, employees of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI) attended the opening of the art and documentary exhibition «Master. Hero. Mikhail Savitsky». The exhibition, organized by the Yanka Kupala State Literary Museum in collaboration with the Mikhail Savitsky Art Gallery, a branch of the Minsk History Museum, commemorates the 20th anniversary of Mikhail Savitsky being awarded the title «Hero of Belarus».

Mikhail Savitsky, a People’s Artist of Belarus and the USSR, created a series of 11 paintings for the museum, depicting characters from Yanka Kupala’s works and the poet himself. The project features the artist’s works, photographs, documents, and personal belongings from the collections of the Yanka Kupala State Literary Museum and the Mikhail Savitsky Gallery.

Experiencing colleagues’ approaches to organizing this artistic and documentary exhibition is a valuable experience for archivists in the field of exhibition management.

The exhibition is on display at 4 Yanka Kupala Street (from January 29 to March 22, 2026).
