Lessons for students of V.V.Yurtov Secondary School No.27 in Grodno as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign at the State Archives of the Grodno Region

On January 28, 2026, as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign, the State Archives of the Grodno Region held two lessons on the topic «Unconquered Grodno» for 9th and 10th grade students of V.V.Yurtov Secondary School No.27 in Grodno.

Archives staff told the students about the partisan and underground movements in the Grodno region, the liberation battles for Grodno in July 1944, the socioeconomic consequences of the occupation, and the long process of rebuilding the war-torn national economy. Students familiarized themselves with documentary materials from the German occupation authorities, as well as documents from partisan brigades operating in the Grodno region.

At the end of the lesson, the students visited the archival repository, where they learned about the storage conditions, composition, and content of the documents, and also visited the restoration, binding, and repair laboratory.
