On the participation of young specialists of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation» in the solemn ceremony of initiation of young archivists

On September 5, 2025, young specialists of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation» took part in the solemn ceremony of initiation of young archivists, which took place in the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus.

During the event, young specialists had a unique opportunity to try their hand at various areas of archival activities, and get acquainted with the archival institutions of Belarus and their specifics.

The speeches of the honored guests were of particular interest to the young specialists: Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus O.L.Voinov, Head of the Organizational Department of the Minsk City Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions Zh.V.Sivets, Head of the Department of Personnel Policy and Ideological Support of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus S.N.Shendik, Dean of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor A.G.Kokhanovsky, Vice-Rector for Ideological and Educational Work of the Polotsk State University named after Euphrosyne of Polotsk, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor A.I.Korsak. In their speeches, the honored guests touched upon the issues of the state of the archival industry, the prospects for its development, the importance of supporting young specialists and their participation in social and cultural life, as well as the protection of workers’ rights.

The cultural part of the event was actively attended by teachers and students of the secondary school No.77 named after D.M.Karbyshev.
