Employees of the archive of public associations of the Gomel region took part in the ceremony of unveiling the foundation stone at the site of the installation of the monument to Konstantin Rokossovsky

On May 6, 2025, on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, employees of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region» took part in the solemn ceremony of unveiling the foundation stone at the site of the installation of the monument to twice Hero of the Soviet Union, Marshal Konstantin Konstantinovich Rokossovsky.

The unveiling of the stone was the first step towards the creation of a monument that will decorate the city in the future, reminding Gomel residents of the glorious pages of history.

Konstantin Konstantinovich Rokossovsky is one of the most outstanding Soviet commanders of the Great Patriotic War. His courage, military skill and strategic talent became an example for future generations, and the marshal himself is a symbol of valor and devotion to the Motherland. The name of the great commander, who played a significant role in the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, is forever inscribed in history.
