Golden thread of good deeds: Molodechno archivists joined the campaign «Living memory of grateful generations»
On the eve of the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, Molodechno archivists, together with active participants of the media project «Archive Bulletin» of Secondary School No.14 of the city, took part in a charity campaign to collect coins to create a memorial sign «Living Memory of Grateful Generations». The idea, initiated by the Alexey Talai Charitable Foundation, unites people from different regions of the post-Soviet space in an effort to preserve the memory of the war heroes and pass it on to future generations.
– For archivists, participation in this campaign is of particular importance. They not only preserve historical documents and evidence, but also actively participate in the formation of public consciousness. Collecting coins for the monument is not just an action, but an opportunity to express gratitude to those who defended peace and freedom, as well as to remind about the importance of preserving historical memory for future generations, – noted the director of the state archive I.Z.Pudakevich.
The memorial sign, which will be installed on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow on May 9, 2025, will become a symbol of the connection between generations and continuity. Archivists understand that their work in preserving documents, photographs and memories of veterans plays a key role in maintaining this connection. They actively share information about the heroic deeds of their ancestors, helping young people understand how important the history of their country is.
