Seminar at the State Archives of the Mogilev Region

Today, specialists from the Department of Archival Formation and Records Management held a seminar on «Current Archival Legislation of the Republic of Belarus (with Amendments and Supplements)» in the assembly hall of the State Archives of the Mogilev Region for employees of archival acquisition sources.

The seminar covered issues related to organizational and legal support for records management, rules for processing documents produced using technical means, the procedure for developing, coordinating, and approving file nomenclature, working with electronic documents, including electronic ones, and ensuring their storage, as well as the procedure for transferring documents to the organization’s archive and to the state archive for permanent storage.

In a Q&A session, State Archives specialists answered questions from seminar participants.

Following the event, participants were given a tour of the archive. Guests were able to learn about the conditions for storing and using archival documents, as well as their restoration and digitization.
