On the excursion for students of the «Mogilev State Specialized Closed-Type School» in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

In the year of improvement, as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, on January 28, 2025, the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» was visited by pupils of the Mogilev State Specialized Closed-Type School.

During the excursion, the pupils learned about the history of the archive, the main areas of its activities, the work of the use department, the archive funds and the specifics of working with them, the conditions for storing documents, and the equipment of archival storage facilities. They also got acquainted with the presented exhibitions: «Defense of the City of Mogilev», «Partisan Movement», «80th Anniversary of Victory», «Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War». A documentary film was watched: «Ola-Sister of Khatyn».

The archive staff conducted career guidance campaigns about the possibility of obtaining higher education on the terms of targeted training. Also, as part of this event, a sightseeing tour of the archive storage was held for schoolchildren, during which the children became familiar with the composition of the stored documents and the storage regime.
