«Choosing a Targeted Direction»: A Series of Career Guidance Meetings in City Schools Held by Molodechno Archivists

The target form of training is one of the trajectories for a conscious choice of your future profession. Its advantage is that after completing your studies, the applicant will have a guaranteed job for at least five years, with all the benefits and guarantees provided to him as a young specialist. Representatives of the Zonal State Archives in the city of Molodechno spoke about this and more during career guidance meetings with students in the city.

During the week, the director of the archive, Inna Pudakevich, and the head of the department for the use and publication of documents, Elena Tomkovich, informed future applicants about the basics of the archivist profession, employment opportunities, and targeted recruitment to a university. The participants in the events were high school students from secondary schools No.1, 2, 4, 5, 8, 12, and 14 in MolodechNo.The students received information about specialized educational institutions and programs that train specialists in this field, and also received an idea that each document is not just paper, but evidence of the lives of people, events and phenomena that shaped our country.

The Zonal State Archives in Molodechno continues to actively work on popularizing its activities and attracting new personnel, because the future of preserving the historical memory of our people depends on young people. The archivists expressed hope that among the participants of the meetings there will be those who will be interested in archival work and choose this path for their professional career, which will become not only a job, but also a calling.
