An event was held at the State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region as part of the «Archives for School» campaign

On December 17, 2024, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, a meeting of archive staff with students of the educational institution «Gomel State College of River Fleet» was held at the State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region.

As part of the event, the students were shown the documentary film «Liberation», prepared by the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

The children also had the opportunity to get acquainted with documents that reveal the essence, nature and consequences of the occupation regime and testify to the damage caused by the Nazi invaders during the Great Patriotic War.

In conclusion, a sightseeing tour of the archive was conducted for the students, during which the children became familiar with the main areas of its work and the current exhibitions of archival documents.
