Deputy Director of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region Tatyana Buevich took part in events dedicated to the Year of the Family in the Russian Federation and the 90th anniversary of the formation of the archival service in Ugra

On October 1, the Archives Service of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Ugra celebrates the 90th anniversary of its formation.

Until this year, the cooperation of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region and the State Archives of Ugra took place online as part of the open genealogical readings «Memory of Future Generations».

This year, the events within the framework of the anniversary events of the district readings were transformed into a comprehensive event «Archives are a source of knowledge and research of traditional family values».

As part of the event, a round table «Archives are sources of knowledge and research of traditional family values» was held, at which Tatyana Buevich made a report on multinational family traditions, the foundation of which was laid during the existence of the USSR.

Then a foresight session «The Role of Family Archives in Preserving Historical Memory» and an expert discussion «The Role of Archives in Forming Collective Memory and National Identity» were held, where projects for events dedicated to the development of genealogy in the Russian archives environment were developed, and the projects were defended.

As part of the event, the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region screened films prepared by BGAKFFD: for schoolchildren and students of Khanty-Mansiysk (Yugra) and for the participants of the event.
