A seminar on the topic of «Archival legislation of the Republic of Belarus at the present stage (with amendments and additions)» was held in the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region»

On September 26, 2024, a seminar on the topic of «Archival legislation of the Republic of Belarus at the present stage (with amendments and additions)» was held for specialists of the documentation support service of the management of state authorities and public administration, other organizations that are sources of acquisition of the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region», archivists of the acquisition department of the National Archival Fund and office work of the state archives, organized in the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region». The participants of the seminar were covered with issues related to changes in the regulatory legal acts of the Republic of Belarus governing archival affairs and office work, a new version of the instructions for office work, the procedure for developing, coordinating and approving the nomenclature of the organization’s files, conducting an examination of the value of documents, drawing up an act on the allocation of documents and files for destruction that are not subject to storage, liability for violating the legislation in the field of archival affairs and office work of organizations and a number of other topical issues.

State archive specialists answered questions from representatives of organizations.

The participants’ attention was drawn to the need to subscribe to the industry scientific and practical journal «Archives and Office Work».

The seminar participants also visited the archive storage facility and visited the document digitization laboratory.
