The institution «Zonal State Archives in Novogrudok» continues the «Archives to School» campaign

In July of this year, as part of the «Archives-School» campaign, meetings are being held with pupils of the Novogrudok regional health camp «Svityaz».

With great interest, children go on a virtual journey around Novogrudok, learn the history of one of the oldest cities in Belarus, get acquainted with historical and architectural monuments, landmarks and outstanding people of Novogrudok, observe beautiful views of the city in photographs, and study archival documents. And the virtual exhibition «The Land of Novogrudok, my native land…» prepared by the institution «Zonal State Archives in Novogrudok» for the 980th anniversary of Novogrudok helps them in this.

During the film lectures dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders, a newsreel about the liberation of the city of Grodno is shown, as well as the pupils of the health camp get acquainted with the history of the liberation of Novogrudok, replenish their knowledge about the heroes of the Great Patriotic War – the liberators of the city and our fellow countrymen – participants in the war.
