A meeting of archive workers was held at the institution «State Archive of the Gomel Region»

On July 16, 2024, a meeting of archive workers was held in the reading room of the institution «State Archive of the Gomel Region» (hereinafter referred to as the State Archives) as part of a single information day.

In his report, GAGom director Andrei Suschevich brought to the attention of the team information about the events that took place in the country and abroad from July 2 to July 8, 2024.

Andrei Suschevich said that on July 2, 2024, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko received a report from the Head of the Presidential Administration Dmitry Krutoy and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Alexander Rogozhnik.

In his report, the director of the archive paid much attention to the fact that President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko presented state awards to honored figures in various fields. Among the recipients are farmers, miners, builders, transport workers, and many people in uniform. The ceremony took place on July 2, 2024 at the Palace of Independence.

The director of the GAGom also said that on July 6, 2024, the grand opening of the republican holiday «Kupala» («Alexandria Gathers Friends») took place in the agricultural town of Alexandria, Shklovsky district, Mogilev region. The festival «Alexandria Gathers Friends» has become a place of attraction for creative people and true fans of the original Slavic culture from all over Belarus and from other countries, truly becoming the center of the revival of ancient ritual and craft traditions.
