The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus took part in the citywide marathon project «Thirty Sovereign Years»

On July 12, 2024, the team of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus took part in the citywide marathon project «Thirty Sovereign Years», dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the institution of the presidency of the Republic of Belarus.

The event was organized by the primary organization of the Republican Public Association «Belaya Rus» and the trade union organization on the initiative of the Republican Public Association «Belaya Rus» and the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus. The goal of the «Thirty Sovereign Years» project is to create conditions for the formation in labor collectives of a spirit of unity and cohesion based on the ideas and values ​​of Belarusian statehood.

Opening remarks were made by Deputy Director of the Archive E.A.Stukanova and Chairman of the primary organization of the Republican Public Association «Belaya Rus» V.A.Baranov. The chairman of the primary trade union organization T.A.Shevchenko made a report on the history of the institution of presidency in Belarus.

The event was attended by representatives of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union, the Belarusian Women’s Union and the Belarusian Society of Archivists. As part of the event, the team was presented with a documentary film «30 years with the people», prepared by the MIR television company for the 30th anniversary of the institution of presidency.
