On June 17, 2024, the State Archive of the Vitebsk Region was visited by students from secondary school No. 4 in Vitebsk, staying in a specialized summer health school camp with day-time stay for children

The event was held as part of the republican action «Archives to School» and dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

During the visit, the children learned about the role of archives in preserving documentary memory, places of storage of documents from the period of the Great Patriotic War, the work of archivists in collecting documents in liberated cities, and also watched the virtual exhibition «Death Camp» and the documentary film «To the 80th Anniversary of Liberation Vitebsk region from the Nazi invaders», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents.
