Carrying out events at the National Historical Archives of Belarus dedicated to the International Day of Archives

On June 7, 2024, the National Historical Archive of Belarus hosted ceremonial events dedicated to the International Day of Archives. The holiday will be celebrated on Sunday, June 9.

Director of the NIA Belarus Mikhail Glushakov and deputy director Natalia Buloichik congratulated their colleagues on the upcoming professional holiday at a ceremonial meeting of the labor collective.

The head of the department of research and publication activities of the Scientific Research Institute of Belarus, Sergei Ryndin, gave a lecture to the archive team on the history of creation and activities in the second half of the 19th – early 20th centuries. Vilna Archaeographical Commission – a scientific and educational institution engaged in the research and publication of archival sources. A significant part of the published material concerns the history of Belarus.

An exhibition of collections of documents published by the Vilna Archaeographic Commission has been prepared for the event. The exhibition was shown during the lecture and after it ended and aroused great interest among the audience.
