«Past» and «future» met at the ZSA in Molodechno. The «Archives to School» event was held here using artificial intelligence technologies

As part of the republican action «Archives to School», the institution «Zonal State Archive in Molodechno» was visited by 7th grade students from school No. 14 of the city. A tour of the storage facilities was organized for the children, schoolchildren were introduced to the history of the institution and the most interesting documents stored in the funds, and a master class was held on document restoration. Children were also shown the evolution of writing from pen and ink, typewriter to computers and neural networks. Thus, the students were especially fascinated by the interactive experience using artificial intelligence technologies: the students wrote their associations about the archive and the excursion program with pen and ink on sheets of paper, then the neural network generated text phrases into a colorful image. The bright visual conveyed in detail the emotions of the children, their interest in the activities of the archives, and described how the children see the building of the institution and the specifics of work in it.

Also shown to the guests was the film «Liberation», prepared by employees of the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo and Sound Documents» as part of the project «Open Film Archive. We brought this day closer as best we could», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

The event did not leave anyone indifferent; the schoolchildren were interested in the profession of archivist and the history of their region.
