«Family. A modern look». The Zonal State Archive in Molodechno took part in a round table dedicated to International Family Day
«Family. A modern look». A round table under this name was held at the Molodechno Trade and Economic College as part of the republican action «My Family is My Country», dedicated to the International Day of Families. Students, representatives of various organizations in the district, clergy, people with family experience, as well as those who have not yet created a social unit gathered to discuss issues of family policy.
The event was moderated by Marina Shchiglo, chairman of the regional organization of the ROO «Belaya Rus». She spoke about state support for the institution of family in Belarus, measures to stimulate the birth rate, and the protection of motherhood and childhood.
Archpriest, rector of the Church of the Nativity of Christ in Molodechno Nikolai Savchuk spoke about the fact that the basis of a person’s life and well-being is family and family values. In his opinion, parents play a key role in the development of the spiritual and moral qualities of the child’s personality. And the basis of relationships between family members should be love.
Mother of many children Tatyana Peskovaya shared the result of great love. The woman spoke about how social state guarantees are implemented in practice, shared her experience of raising children, and focused on the importance of preserving and passing on family spiritual and moral values and traditions. The owner of the order of the mother is actively engaged in studying her family with her children, conducting genealogical research.
Inna Pudakevich, director of the zonal state archive in Molodechno, told those present how to properly form a family archive, ensuring the safety of documents: photographs, letters, diplomas, certificates and other things. She emphasized the importance of studying her kind. After all, the history of families is closely intertwined with the history of the country and society. All together forms historical memory. In a presentation format, the director of the institution introduced those present to the family archives, which have become the property of the republic, the sources of the formation of the National Archival Fund and are stored in the funds of the zonal archive.
College students actively took part in the discussion. The young couple shared their personal point of view on the need for marriage and the attitude towards a child in the family. The participants examined with interest aspects of the traditional family structure. The meeting turned out to be lively and informative.
