Decree of the Mogilev Provincial Executive Committee on the ban on wearing uniforms and external insignia

Under the heading «Documentary Chronicle», the institution «State Archive of the Mogilev Region» presents for review a copy of the Decree of the Mogilev Provincial Executive Committee of May 14, 1918 on the prohibition for military and civilian officials from wearing uniforms and uniform hats, orders, medals and other external insignia .

Thus, the new provincial government tried to distance itself from the traditions and foundations of the Russian Empire, and demonstrate democratism in everyday life and clothing.
