Holding an international round table dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of V.I. Kozlova
On April 13, 2023, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) hosted an international round table dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the famous statesman and party leader, one of the organizers of the partisan movement, Hero of the Soviet Union V.I. . Kozlov.
Within the framework of the round table, an exhibition of the same name was opened, prepared by the NARB with the participation of the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History (RGASPI). The exhibition is being held in pursuance of the joint action plan of the Federal Archival Agency and the Department for Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus for 2023-2025. Director of NARB A.K. Demyanuk in his welcoming speech noted the importance of holding such a scientific forum and pointed to the systematic work of the archive to preserve the historical memory of the heroic past of our republic.
Head of the department of funds of personal origin I.V. Dorogush spoke about the composition of the documents of the V.I. Kozlov, their informative potential and use.
Head of the NARB Publications Department, Ph.D. S.V. Kulinok dwelled in detail on the documents on the history of the partisan unit of the Minsk region in the funds of the NARB: composition, species diversity, informative potential and their introduction into scientific circulation.
Leading Researcher of the Department of Documents and Information Use, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor V.G. Mazets spoke about the post-war party and state activities of V.I. Kozlov.
The round table was attended by archivists from RGASPI, BGAKFFD, the State Archives of the Minsk Region, scientists and historians from the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Minsk State Linguistic University.
The forum was attended by delegations of archivists and historians from Moscow, Kaliningrad and Kazakhstan.
